Dave “Mort” Morton was certified in 1976, right after he turned 15, the minimum age back then. He attended his first Sea Rovers Clinic that same year when it was held at Boston University, amid rumors that Jacques Cousteau was going to be there again, since he attended just the year before. He joined the Rovers in 1992 after being invited by Brian Skerry, served as president for 16 years, Evening Film Festival Chair for 18 years, and has been a Board member for over 30.
