TEMPERATURE CHANGE EFFECTS ON SUBTIDAL ROCK WALL COMMUNITIES IN MASSACHUSETTS BAY- Ted Maney    

A 40-year long term ongoing study of the subtidal rock wall communities in Massachusetts Bay have shown changes over time. These changes have included alterations of species composition that correlate with decadal scale temperature change which will be presented and discussed.

Harmful algal blooms (HABs) are becoming increasingly problematic in both fresh and marine waters worldwide. Warming waters and increased nutrients causing eutrophication will lead to greater likelihood of blooms in the future.  These can have severe socioeconomic implications.
