Recently uncovered secret documents from Soviet Russia reveal the killing of tens of thousands of whales during the era. Nancy travels to Fiji and Tonga to investigate the impact of cold-war whaling on present day Humpback whale populations. While searching for evidence of whale population growth, Nancy encounters Marama, and her newborn daughter, Lai Lai.
