Get The Proper Exposure In Any Shooting Scenario

Consistently getting good exposures is one of the biggest challenges in underwater photography for many underwater shooters. No doubt about it, you can compose a compelling scene but if the exposure isn’t on the mark disappointment is the guaranteed result. Unfortunately, that opportunity lost is headed for the cyber trashcan. If you find yourself lacking confidence and perhaps “guessing” when it comes to exposing your shots, this seminar is for you.

The good news is, consistently getting good exposures is not a skill that can be achieved only by elite shooters. The keys to success are to recognize which one of four basic exposure scenarios you are in at any given time, and then using the proper tools and techniques to nail your exposure.

The four exposure scenarios are a follows: (1) silhouettes, (2) using sunlight alone to reveal color and detail in your scenes and subjects, (3) using strobes alone to expose your shot, and (4) achieving a proper exposure by coordinating the use of strobes and sunlight. This seminar will enable you to identify the exposure scenario you are working with for any given shot, and understand what you need to do to achieve a proper exposure in that setting.

You will also learn about the value of histograms, how to interpret and use them in each exposure scenario, and why many top shooters think of their histograms as their “best friends in the digital world”.
