Public Safety Workshop Presenters

Monty Fitzpatrick: Your event coordinator and program MC. Owner/Partner Scuba Shack Diving Services LLC and head of it’s Public Safety Division. Monty served 9 years with the Wethersfield Fire Department Rescue Company 2 (waterborne operations) and is a Public Safety Instructor Trainer and PADI Course Director.

Christopher McCarthy: Program MC: Connecticut State Police Master Sergeant (Ret.) A 22 year veteran of the Connecticut State police and a graduate of the U.S. Navy Diving and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC) Panama City FL. During his tenure with the Connecticut State Police, Chris spent 18 years as a member of the Emergency Services Unit (ESU) Dive Team conducting countless search and recovery missions.

Pete Nawrocky: OMS Sales Manger/DUI Regional Manager. In addition to working for OMS and DUI he travels throughout the country training divers and public safety teams in advanced techniques. EX Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR), Side Mount diving, technical configurations.

Timothy Andro: Started in Public Safety as a Firefighter in 1999. Began Northeast diving in 2005, In 2008 became a D/M and Technical shipwreck diver. 2011 become a Public Safety Diver, In 2015 became an ERDI instructor and Mahwah Rescue Dive Coordinator. North Jersey Regional Scuba Taskforce V/P 2017 thru 2018 and currently the President.

Captain Robert Shields: Team Coordinator Cumberland Water Rescue and Recovery Team Cumberland, RI.

Eric Connery: Volunteer rescue diver with the Region 5 Dive Team in northwestern Connecticut and an EMT with the Middlebury Fire Department’s Ambulance Auxiliary.
