Tales of Tragedy Along America’s North Coast

At the turn of the 20th century, maritime commerce on the Great Lakes was dominated by hundreds, if not thousands, of small schooners and steamers carrying goods and materials to and from cities and towns all along the Great Lakes. Unfortunately, many did not make it home. Thick fog banks, ferocious storms, and ice made the waters of Lake Huron off Presque Isle, MI particularly treacherous. Join us as we visit the intact schooners, steamers, and freighters that lie in the gin clear waters just off shore.
