Seasons of the Sea was produced and directed by Howard Hall in 1990. Winner of numerous awards including the Golden Panda award at Wildscreen in 1990 and the Festival Choice award at Jackson Hole 1991, Seasons was arguably the first underwater wildlife behavior film. The film was originally captured in standard 16mm and mastered to Digital Betacam. To revitalize the film, Hall up-converted the digital beta master to 16×9 HD. He has also replaced more than half of the original shots with recently acquired HD images. The film retains its original sound track with Ian Holm narration. But most of the images are beautiful HD quality.
